The Clear Network Partners.

The clear network is a small web of clear, fast, well designed sites. CLR.fm is its search engine: we index pages we are proud to send people to, starting with our own, and we are opening the door to a few outside sites that work the same way.

Most of the web got slower, louder, and harder to read. The clear network is the other direction: pages that load fast, say the thing, and stop.

What makes a partner site

• Fast pages. Light enough to feel instant, even on a cheap phone.
• No popups. No cookie walls, no slide ins, no overlays begging for an email.
• No junk. No ads shouting over the content, no autoplaying anything.
• Real content. Pages that actually answer the question they claim to answer.
• Honest design. Readable type, clear structure, nothing pretending to be something it is not.

What a partner gets

• Listed in CLR.fm search results. Partner pages join the index, and for the searches where a partner page is the clearest answer, it comes first.
• Listed on this page. Every partner appears here, with the pages we recommend most.
• Links to your best pages. We link to the specific pages worth reading, not just a homepage.

There is no fee and no link scheme. A partner stays a partner by staying clear: if a site loads up with popups and junk, it comes out of the index.

Run a clear site?

If your site already works this way, we would like to hear about it. The door is our join page: tell us the site and the two or three pages you are proudest of. We read every one, and we check it the way a visitor would: on a phone, on a slow connection, looking for the answer.

The clear network starts with our own sites: Clear Recipe, Starvard, Llama Chat, and CLR.fm itself. Partners are the independent sites that join them.
