Respect for creators

Every picture in this library was made by somebody. A photographer stood somewhere. An illustrator sat down and drew. We are grateful, and this page is how we show it.

We only list images whose licenses allow sharing: public domain, CC0, or CC BY. The license is checked file by file before a picture joins the library, and the license travels with the picture in our data.

We never claim ownership of anyone's work. Not the pictures, not a share of them, not ever.

Every picture credits its creator by name where the source names them, and links back to the source page where the full size file lives. If you use a picture, the credit line on its page is ready to copy. Giving credit where the license asks for it is the whole deal, and it costs nothing.

If you are a creator and something here is yours, the takedown page is one email away. We remove first and ask questions after.
